Today Only

Today only I realize
What the world is
What the life is
All throughout the time
I have been lurking
Ferreting and overlooking

Today only I opened my eyes
And saw an angelic face
Looking at me from a distance
with divine shadow
waiting to say something
waiting to hear something

Today only I started to walk down the lanes
Straight & serene
Welcoming every passer by
Infusing warmth and love
Spreading vigor and energy

Today only I flew with the winds
Carefree and asunder
Surging through the clouds
Cleaving the sun rays
Traveling here and there, everywhere

Today only I learnt to sing a song
Filled with music, devoid of lyrics
With just the heart
Heart full of pleasure
Emotions & excitement

चलते कदम

ये मेरे कदम कहाँ जा रहे
मुझे नहीं मालूम
न मंज़िल का पता, न डगर की खबर
बस बढ़ते जा रहे
बढ़ते ही जा रहे
ठहरना कभी जाना नहीं
कहना मेरा माना नहीं
सफर लंबा तय करना है
पर जाना कहाँ पता नहीं
रास्ता जाना पहचाना लगता है
झुंझला फिर भी जाता है
लगे कभी सुनसान, कभी अनजान
कभी लगे जैसे पुरानी पहचान
छूटे निशान पाँव के जो देखे
लगा जैसे यहाँ किसी का बसेरा है
आहट सुनी फिर कदमों की
मुड़ कर देखा तो कुछ नज़र न आया
एहसास हुआ आखिर
निशान भी अपने, आहट भी अपनी
हम थे खड़े वहीं के वहीं
बस कदम चलते जा रहे

Who am I?

Frosted dew, melting snow
Wave of sea
Stream of river
Scent in the air
Hole in the mountain
Color of the sky
Light of the moon
Fragrance of flower, prick of thorn
A bird's flight, stillness of sand
Tranquility of night
Brightness of morning
Roaring storm, soothing breeze
Whomsoever it is
Whatever you shall call me
Howsoever you perceive me
I shall be the same
Forever & ever
Unknown to me as well
Can be either of these
Or none of these

मैं तो हूँ ऐसी ही

हवा का झोंका या थमी सी फिज़ा
सरसराती नदिया या ठहरा पानी
खुशबू कहो या कांटे
कली कहो चाहे फूल
कहो तुम जो भी
मैं तो हूँ ऐसी ही

इक पल चंचल, इक पल मासूम
अंबर जैसी विशाल, तो कभी मोती की मिसाल
हंसती मुस्कुराती सिमटती शरमाती
इस डगर कभी उस डगर
ठहरे न जो किधर
चाहो तुम जैसी भी
मैं तो हूँ ऐसी ही

जान देने वाली या जान लेने वाली
इरादों की पक्की, दिल की कच्ची
पत्थर से कठोर, पलकों से कोमल
जीत कर हारने वाली
या फिर हर कर जीतने वाली
मानो तुम जैसे भी
